June 23rd Garden Lake Park Project Tour

Please join the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council for a tour of our restoration project in this Creswell Park. Refreshments and socializing begins at 6pm, council updates will begin at 6:30pm, and the tour will run from 6:45pm to about 8pm. Technical lead from ODFW, Erik Moberly, and Pam Reber, Coast Fork Project Manager will lead the tour. Meet in the Garden Lake Park parking lot. This event is free and open to the public.

Since a majority of the invasive removal and planting work was completed this past winter season, this tour will be a chance to share the park improvements with the Creswell community, including special guests from the Ford Leadership class. The Creswell students in this class (both youth and adults) chose to finish the bridges in the northern Peninsula section of the park for their class project.

Former Mayor and Garden Lake Project Lead Ron Petitti will be sorely missed and the Coast Fork Council seeks to include the community in engaging the maintainence and improvement of the park in his memory and for the enjoyment of all of Creswell. Please join us to learn more about how to get involved with this local community asset.

Special thanks to Roy, Clint and Cliff for all their help with maintaining the plantings, disposing of the debris and auguring the planting holes. City staff are really doing their part on this project!
